Spring 2012, Student Teacher, Rose Hill Middle School, Jackson-Madison County Schools Completed a nine-week placement in sixth grade science and a nine-week placement in eighth grade science, responsible in the capacity of a student educator to instruct students in both the regular education and inclusion classroom setting.

I drive a full-time school bus route in both a rural and urban route setting. Responsible for the oversight of a bus that transported regular education and special education students.


My name is Steven L. Marise. I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education from Freed-Hardeman University.

I currently hold a professional educator license with the state of TN that demonstrates my certification as highly qualified to teach all subjects except art and music in grades K-8.

I earned my M.Ed. from Freed-Hardeman University in 2016 with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction. I am currently working towards my doctorate of education (Ed.D.) with Capella University, where I currently have a  4.0 gpa.

I have taught with Chester County Schools for 5 years and 1 year with Jackson-Madison County Schools. I am married to a beautiful partner and friend, Emily Marise. Emily teaches 4th grade at the middle school. We have no children, but enjoy time with our dog Lilly and cat Sam.

I am a passionate lifelong learner who seeks to ensure that all of my students can reach success at high levels.
